I just want to take the time out to thank everyone who has been supporting my goal of becoming a self published author. The road has been long and there have been times that I felt like giving up. The encouragement I have received from my peers, family and friends has kept me humbled and focused. I know I have to make it with the support I have behind me! Thank You!!
Hey guys, check out my video! I am talking about my novel and giving a bit of information. I am trying to hit as many avenues as I can to get anticipation for this story to build so I can have a great outcome when it is finally released. I appreciate the support. Thanks!
I am working on my last chapter finally!! Its not the last chapter of the story but a chapter I had originally thought I had completed. I have had a love-hate relationship with this chapter and now I am just plain in love with it. There is plenty of excitement and drama involved as well as a heartfelt scene between a father and his daughter. The detail and deep thought I am putting into this chapter are driving me to hurry and finish but I am taking my time making sure to include every important thought that I have and can’t afford to leave out.
I have come to terms with the fact that I don’t have to rush myself. Yes I have a goal and timely deadline but I will take the necessary time needed to lay everything out on the table and make sure the flow of this chapter will measure up to the rest of my novel. Talking about my novel and writing about the feelings it brings me are the best ways I can keep myself on track. In so many words it’s therapeutic…. For me and my book.
So anyway, thanks for reading if infact you are. I really do appreciate it.
Hey y’all just want to post about two very important characters in my novel; Stacey and Tara. The two share a daughter Sierra. Tara uses their child to hold leverage over Stacy and gets him to bend over backwards trying to keep up with her crazy demands. Stacey is an average young man his age trying to make money the only way he knows how. Thus far he has been unlucky. He hasn’t been able to take off the way his old friend Marlita has. He’s a character who cares for his child and wants to be able to provide the best for her. He is a stand up father besides the fact that he isn’t able to provide all of the money Tara wants from him.
Tara runs into Marlita and instantly becomes jealous. She is not used to Stacey giving his attention to anyone else besides herself or their daughter. Stacey goes out of his way to let Tara know that Marlita is off limits and it sends Tara into a rage. Next she does something that catches everyone’s attention and we have to decide whether it’s a bad thing or not.
I have been so drained for the past few months. My writing has taken a backseat to the everyday hustle and bustle from day to day life. I’ve been looking at my work all week without touching anything and dragging ass.. Today was the last of that and I got back into doing what i love. Daylight savings has given me so much life and I am glad to see the change. I’ve fallen in love with my characters all over again and now my vision for my novel has become even more alive. Writing until my eyes feel their heaviest is what I’ve been missing and I’m glad I have re-sparked the flame! I may be tired but I’ve come too far to let my drive slip away again…
Melvin plays an important role in my tale about Marlita and her plans to stay on top of her game. He has all the right connections to help her gain allies and partners in the crooked world of drugs, money laundering, and politics. The catch is that he has eyes for Marlita and wants her to himself. He’s thrilled about the death of Charles but doesn’t show it. He can’t wait to have Marlita just the way he’s wanted her for so long. He’s so close to her he can taste it, but soon he realizes his dream is farther away than he originally thought. Hurt and confused by the choices his dream woman makes, he decides to solve his problem the only way he can come up with. Is he making a wise choice or will things backfire for him completely?
The name of my new book is Marlita. Here is just a bit of information that will give you a slight idea of what the story will be about.
Marlita had been at the top of her game for years in the business of selling cocaine and heroin along with her partner Charles. Although they had never seen eye to eye on much, they made names for themselves in the drug world. A dysfunctional team to say the least; They would re-up together but split product down the middle and make their own money in their own different ways. Caught up in the drama stemming from business decisions and the personal feelings they once shared for one another, arguments and violence come into play and Charles ends up dead. How will Marlita handle his untimely death and keep business rolling?
